Behind the film

The brief

Vieshow Cinemas and HoneyCity created a Taipei-set teaser for Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Our work covered concept, location planning, direction, production, editing and the final visual treatment.

Film concept

Six Taipei locations stand for the six earlier films. A seventh represents the new release, with Vieshow’s mascot joining the cast. A series of lightsaber duels builds toward a confrontation between the two sides.

On set

Taiwan’s Star Wars community helped assemble and rehearse the cast. The crew planned the day’s routes and blocking with Vieshow so a large ensemble could move between locations on a tight schedule. The lightsabers were enhanced in post.
